Human ES Cell Lines

Currently the core will only use NIH-approved cell lines such as H1 (WA01), H9 (WA09) and I6 (TE06) for training purpose. In order to use these cells for research purpose, all users are encouraged to obtain permission from the original owners or from the National Stem Cell Bank run by WiCell. After completing MTAs, users may obtain the original stock from the source, and/or a small stock from the core. The same policy applies to genetically modified human ES cells expressing eGFP or luciferase. We will also provide human induced pluripotent (iPS) cells generated at Hopkins, as soon as we finish quality tests.
